Dear all,

We would like to invite you to an interesting lecture on the 100 years from the Asia Minor Catastrophe.

The Greeks in the City Association | Ένωση Ελλήνων Επαγγελματιών Λονδίνου supports this initiative that the Delphi Economic Forum and Mr. Apostolos Gkoutzinis (who participated in our law panel discussion in Oct-22) have organised with key speaker Mr. Angelos Syrigos.

Mr. Angelos Syrigos serves as Deputy Minister of Education & Religious Affairs and a member of the Parliament in Greece. He is an Associate Professor of International Law and Foreign Policy at the Department of International and European Studies at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens, Greece.

The event is scheduled for Thursday 19th January 2023 at 18:30 (lecture starts at 19:00). It will take place in the Long Room of the Honourable Artillery Company, Armoury House, City Road, London, EC1Y 2BQ. No registration is required, free entrance.

On separate news, our Advisory Council Member, Mr. Dr. Haris Lambropoulos (President of the Hellenic Development Bank of Investments) has shared the following thoughts on the “Startups in Greece report 2022/2023” produced by Found.ation and supported by the HDBI.

Quote: “HDBI aims higher, and the message is loud and clear. Our vision is to further establish HDBI as the credible equity sovereign partner of Greece to facilitate successful value-added investments, multiply the effect, and contribute to the prosperity of our country. By creating strong international and domestic alliances and partnerships, by paying attention to the market needs, by fully incorporating international best practices, by participating in and organizing targeted events, and by mobilizing financial and other resources to accelerate sustainable growth. Our efforts have resulted to the establishment of 14 investment funds to date having over €900m under management”.
